Warriors finish season in Myrtle Beach.
The 6th grade travel basketball team Roanoke Rapids Warriors traveled to Myrtle Beach
SC to participate in the NTBA National tournament this past weekend.
There were thirty-six 6th grade teams there to compete. After pool play the 36 teams were
divided into two divisions Gold and Silver with a National champion in each division.
The Warriors went 0-3 in pool play and were placed in the Silver (Division 2) bracket. They
won 53-52 against the 2 seed in bracket, but lost to the next team.
The Warriors finished the tournament 1-4 and 14-7 on the year. “I am very proud of these
young men to improve from a first year record of 2-8 to 14-7 shows the level of dedication
these young men have put forward. I am extremely excited about the start of year 3 and i am
only expecting bigger and better things as we move forward,” said head coach Troy McNair.
