The Roanoke Rapids Under 15 baseball All-stars are perfect with a 4-0 record and

the only team of the ten teams in the Babe Ruth Southeastern Regional tournament

in Richmond Virginia that went undefeated in pool play.

The Yellow Jackets earned the National Division #1 seed in the single elimination

bracket and will play the #2 American Division seed Arlington Va team who was 2-2

overall. The game will be played Saturday August 2nd at 4 PM and if the Jackets win

they will play at 7 PM the winner of #1 Lumber River West NC/Tallahassee FL game at 1 PM.

Head coach Wilton Rogerson stated, " I am excited and optimistic about Roanoke

Rapids chances Saturday."

Assistant coach Jase Elias stated, "If we play solid defense and keep the bats hot we

will do well. So far Roanoke Rapids has only allowed 8 runs in four games."

The Roanoke Rapids All-stars are two games away from the 2014 Babe Ruth baseball

World Series in Longview Washington August 21st.
