Roanoke Rapids resident Lee Powers is part of 2014 Men's USSSA Slow Pitch World Series Champions.
Powers and his Resmondo - Tank/Worth team went into the 2014 USSSA Men's Major World Series #1 seed and worked their way through the winners bracket into the Championship game against team Backmon Shoppe/Louisville Slugger team Sunday in Kissimmee Florida.
Resmondo earned the win over Backmon 22-7 and went undefeated in the 5 game tournament.
