Forty years at the mic
A dedication ceremony was held at Roanoke Rapids High school pre-game for forty years of home game announcing for Earl Telliga. The Roanoke Rapids Hoyle field press box will now be called the "Earl Telliga Press Box".
Earl Telliga has announced every home game since 1974 with only one night PA system failure at half time did he miss.
