Trio part of Championship team

Three Roanoke Rapids teenagers were part of Emporia 
based Under 13 Top Hand Red travel baseball team 
that traveled to Chesterfield VA this past weekend for 
the 3rd Annual “Bats Gone Wild” USSSA baseball tournament.

Colin Long, Cameron Medlin and Ethan Vincent are 
teammates among other boys from the surrounding 
Emporia area on the team.

The Top Hand Red team earned the weekend championship 
going undefeated in four games and only allowing 1 run, 
that coming of a fielding error. The one run game in the 
3-1 championship game win against Xtreme Heights based 
out of South Hill VA. Medlin pitched 6 of the 7 inning 
championship game.
