Opening night was out of the park

The Roanoke Rapids Parks & Recreation Adult Kickball League kicked off Monday night with a bang. Six of the seven team hit the field for the first night of games for the season.

The rules are pretty simple and the set up is like a baseball game, but you are kicking the 10 inch ball. The teams are coed made up of 16 players with no more than two men kicking in a row. A game consist of five innings on play with three outs per team per inning.

Monday nights results are as following:

Game 1:  Frasiers beat City Electric Supply/Shannon Golden Designs 16-1

Game 2:  Christenbury Heating & Cooling beat Curley's Pluming / Whilkie Real Estate 12-9

Game 3:  Goon Squad beat Quality Cabnets 7-1
