It was an amazing day
There were 21 teams that came and performed from Emporia to Louisburg in the 4th Annual Cheer Jam. Each team won a specialty award at the end of the day from best overall performance to fantastically fun routine this past Saturday at the Roanoke Rapids gym for the 4th Annual Cheer Jam hosted by Valley Cheer.
There were over 500 spectors at this years event that enjoyed over 15 vendors. Sponsors for the event included Acree's Electrical, Clear Water Pools, Drugco Pharmacy, Dr. Thomas J McDonald, Fowler Crop Consulting, Halifax Regional, Merritt Piping and Fabrication, Myrick School of Dance, NC farm Bureau Insurance with Ricky Barnes, Prices Refrigeration & Heating Services Inc, rrspin.com sports, Rosemary Preschool, The Rock, Valley Cheer.
"I enjoyed watching the local teams perform. My favorite part of the day was watching each team perform there different styles of cheerleading," said Heather Merritt (Valley Cheer owner/Instructor). "No matter the style or level of cheerleading the amount of pride I saw in each athlete made my day." she added.
You could not leave this event without knowing cheerleading takes athleticism and confidence.
