High School Basketball

Halifax Academy varsity girls (1-0) basketball team won it's season opener Wednesday night on the road. The lady vikings beat Kenston Forest school 58-20.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Kelly Williams with 37 points, Candace Smith with 8 points as was Drew Rose with 8 points, Kate Starnes with 2 points.

Halifax Academy varsity boys (0-1) basketball team lost to Kenston Forest 35-57.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Garrett Morris with 22 points, Holt Gordon with 6 points and Ryan Mizelle with 3 points.
