Growing night on the mat

The Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jacket wrestling team hosted Franklinton Red Rams, one of the top teams in the conference Tuesday night at the Hive.

It was a hard night for the Jackets, falling 12-69.

Roanoke Rapids two wins were by forfeit, Jonathan Harvey in the 285 class and John Gilfillan in the 195 class.

"The kids wrestled hard tonight however inexperience showed. We will continue to drill in practice to get better," stated head coach D. A. White. 

The Yellow Jackets hit the road next for their next match Friday night Kerr Academy.
