Roanoke Rapids fall to Farmville Saturday night

The boys JV Jackets fell 65-69 with leading scorers Ty Simmons with 21 points, Quincy Vann and James Mallory with 12 points each. Roanoke Rapids JV boys now has a 1-2 overall record.

 

The varsity girls continue to play hard and not give up, but fell to Farmville 34-60. Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were Alizae Neville with 10 points  and Brooke McClenny with 13 points. The Lady Jackets are now 0-3 overall.

 

The varsity boys fell as well Saturday night losing 45-68. DJ Jones. DeJuan Walker and Cameron Yarboro were the leading scorers for the Jackets. "We didn't do a good job with rebounds, we let Farmville get 19 offensive rebounds'" said head coach Tyler Snyder. "We are still in football mode with only two days of complete team practice, but the guys are improving each game," coach added. The Boys team has a 1-2 overall record.

 

The Jackets are back in action Wednesday night on the road across the county to Northwest Halifax for season opener rematch.
