Halifax Academy basketball teams traveled to Kerr-Vance Academy

Halifax Academy varsity girls earned the only win at Kerr-Vance Tuesday night.

Halifax Academy JV girls fell 16-20.

Leading scorers for Halifax were: Emerson Poole with 6 points while Maddie Suiter and Sydney Smith had 4 points each.

Halifax Academy JV boys fell 39-50.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Garrett Smith and Will Cooke with 9 points each and Kal Liles with 6 points.

Halifax Academy Varsity girls won  52-18.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Kelly Williams with 26 points, Kim Shearin with 12 points, Brooke Robertson with 6 points while Candice Smith, Kate Starnes, Drew Rose and Jordan Strickland had 2 points each.

Halifax Academy varsity boys overcame a 8-22 deficit at half-time to get as close as two points to tie but fell 27-30.

Leading scorers for Garrett Morris with 18 points, Jacob Smith with 3 points while Matthew Wray, Jackson Harris and Ryan Hockaday had 2 points each.

Halifax Academy host Kenston Forest of Virginia Thursday at home.
