Roanoke Rapids hosted South Granville in the Hive Tuesday night

The Roanoke Rapids JV boys team had a ten point lead at halftime 28-18. The guys came out the second half and  South Granville took the lead. Roanoke Rapids on the file line with two shots to take the lead, but only one was made the game was headed to overtime yet again this season for the Junior Jackets.

The Jackets came out with the win, beating South Granville 58-55.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were Ty Simmons with 14 points, Josh Elias with 13 points, James Mallory with 12 points, Dre Terry with 8 points, Cameron Rogerson with 6 points, Quincy Vann with 4 points and Deraj Watson with 1 point.

 

Roanoke Rapids varsity girls lost 22-59.

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were:  Brianna Allen with 6 points and Alizae Neville with 5 points.

 

Roanoke Rapids varsity boys lost as well 54-69. Roanoke Rapids had a chance late in the game to tie it up, but missed a layup and a tip and then South Granville took control of the game.

Leading scorer for Roanoke Rapids was Marcus Jones with 18 points.
