GCP continues dominance in boys RMSAC

The GCP boys kept their undefeated middle school basketball season in tact Wednesday with a 44025 victory over Chaloner.

GCP came out cold as they only scored 8 first period points, but GCP's stifling defense held Chaloner to 8 first half points. GCP took a 21-8 lead into the half-time.

The second half was no different as GCP answered every rally by Chaloner.

Leading scorers for GCP were: Trik Adams with 18 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks while Paul Whitby had 14 points and 10 assist.

Leading scorers for Chaloner were: Corey Jenkins with 13 points, Rodney Robinson with 4 points, A'Jalon Brown, JakeVan Dam and Peyton Clapton had 2 points each, while Ethan Vincent and Eric Baird had 1 point each.

Chaloner girls basketball team showed why they are the 1st place team in the RMSAC by beating GCP 33-10;

Chaloner defense whut out GCP in the first half 16-0 and the Pride could never recover.

Chaloner leading scorers were:  Anna Vann with 10 points, Michelle Stewart with 9 points, Abbi Carpenter with 7 points, Haley Martin with 3 points, Morgan Davis with 2 points while Katie Green and Hannah Taylor had 1 point each.

Leading scorers for GCP were:  Aaliah Mason and Shakinah Banks with 4 points each.
