Roanoke Rapids traveled to Warren County
Roanoke Rapids varsity girls fell to Warren County.
Head coach Jim Whitmire comments on the game, "Another slow start with too many mistakes. With 20 turnovers in the first half, it was going to be a long night. This loss in the only one that concerns me at all. Warren County is a good team, but not 35 points better than our girls. We continue to learn and never gave up. We intend to shale this one off and get back to Jacket basketball Tuesday night."
Roanoke Rapids varsity boys lost to Warren County 55-62.
Down 6 points at the half, up by one at the start of the 4th period and couldn't close it. Four players finished in double digits.
Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were: Cameron Yarboro with 12 points, Dejuan Walker with 11 points, Tyler Acree and Marcus Jones with 10 points each.
Head coach Tyler Snyder comments on the game, "I am not upset with the guys because they played hard, we just need to execute."
