KIPP pride High continued their hot streak with a sweep of North Edgecombe. Kipp has swept the last 4 opponents during the streak.

After taking a 14-6 1st period lead, KIPP varsity girls allowed North Edgecombe  to score 16 2nd period points as KIPP took a 23-22 lead into the locker room at the half. The second half was all KIPP. North Edgecome scored only 2 3rd quarter points while KIPP exploded for 22. Pride wins going away 55-40.

Kayela Buffole led all scorers with   21. Destiny Neismith chipped in 6 points. North Edgecombe was led by C King with 12 points and T Taylor had 8 points.

KIPP Pride High varsity boys overcame a torrid start by the Warriors of North Edgecombe giving up 22 1st period points for a 22-17 Warriors lead at the end of the 1st period. KIPP had a run of their own in the second period as they took a 41-36 lead into the half. The second half was a back and forth affair as both teams had runs. In the end, Jerry Royster put the KIPP team on his back and led them to a 65-64 victory. Royster finished with 35 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks to lead the Pride. Joshua George scored 12.  J Deans led North Edgecombe with 24 points.
