Tuesday 1sr round RMSAC boys action

#1 seed Gaston Prep beat #8 seed Rocky Mount Prep 51-29.

GCP boys exploded for 17 points in the 1st period  as RMP never threatened the rest of the way.  Tarik Adams led all scorers with 20 points, Paul Whitby chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Leading scorers for RMP were: T. Batchelor with 13 points & E. Mann with 5 points.

#2 seed Chaloner beat #7 seed Conway 39-31.

Leading scorers for Chaloner were: A'Jalon Brown with 11 points, Cameron Wilson with 9 points, Peyton Clapton with 7 points, Carson Neal with 5 points, Xhavier Robinson with 3 points, Ezekiel Collum & Cody Beals with 2 points each.

#3 seed William R. Davie beat #6 seed Weldon 46-42.

Leading scorers for Davie were: Keonte Jefferson with 16 points, Dexter Deloatch with 8 points, Jahi Jeffes with 8 points, Danyus Daniels with 6 points and Cadrilyus Squire with 5 points.

#4 seed Gaston beat #5 seed Enfield 45-39.

Enfield Coach Pendergrass comments after the game, " It was a learning experience that I hope the guys understand that they achieved a lot in spite of their size. I sincerly appreciate & thank you for the chance to work with the fine young men from Enfield Middle.
