Chowan University’s Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Wins Runner-Up in Hawks’ First CIAA Step Show Appearance  

Chowan Press Release: MURFREESBORO, NC – In its first ever appearance at the CIAA Tournament’s annual Step Show competition, Chowan University brings home the Runner-Up Award with a performance by the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
 
“On Friday night, our Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha competed at the CIAA Greek Step Show. This is the first time a Chowan team has competed, and the Chowan Alphas won second place in the competition,” stated Randy Harrell, Chowan University’s Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, in an email announcement to the campus. “Join me in congratulating our Alphas on this accomplishment.”

Held on Friday night, February 27th in Charlotte, the team from Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. won second place in the Greeks vs. Greeks themed battle, as well as special recognition for Most Incorporation of Black History Information in the Routine.
