Roanoke Rapids varsity baseball team lose their home opener

RRHS lost 3-1 to Southern Nash in non-conference play on Wednesday night.

Josh Elias pitched well, but took the loss.  He pitched 6 innings giving up 4 hits and 2 unearned runs.  Logan Simonowich pitched 1 inning giving  up no hits and 1 unearned run.

Cameron Rogerson scored the only run for the Jackets.  Tyler Warren had 2 hits for the Jackets.

Head coach Mark Snead comments, "We didn't play a bad game.  We just came out on the wrong end tonight.  I am really pleased with our pitching from Josh and Logan.  They pitched well enough to win the game.  Unfortunately we made a few mistakes and they took advantage of it.  We will work hard at practice to get ready for DSA."

Our next game is a home conference game against DSA on Friday March 13 at 6 PM.
