Roanoke Rapids beat DSA in Varsity baseball action Friday night by a score of 17-1.

RRHS scored 8 runs in the first inning on 3 hits and 7 walks. RRHS scored 6 more runs in the second inning on 4 hits and 4 walks. RRHS finished their scoring with 3 runs in the third inning on 2 hits and 4 walks. 
 
DSA scored their lone run in the top of the fourth inning.
 
Leading Hitters for RRHS were Nick Horvath with 2 hits and 4 RBI, Colby Warren with 2 hits and 5 RBI, and Cameron Roberson with 4 runs scored.
 
Colby Warren picked up the win on the mound pitching all 4 innings giving up 2 hits and striking out 8 batters. 
 
RRHS is now 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the Northern Carolina Conference.
 
The next game for the Yellow Jackets will be a home conference game against Bunn on Tuesday March 17.  The JV game starts at 4:30 with the Varsity game to follow.
