Roanoke Rapids JV softball makeup rainout and regular schedule game in doubleheader

The Roanoke Rapids JV Yellow Jacket softball team hosted Southern Nash Wednesday.

In game one, Roanoke Rapids pulled off the win 7-1.

At the plate for the Jackets, Taylor Medlin went 2 for 2 while Ashley Agoglia went 2 for 3. Abbey Acree went 1 for 2 as did Alyssa Daniels. Ashley Ivey and Kaitlin Rogerson both went 1 for 3.

On the mound for the JV Jackets: Lauren Oliver earned the win pitching 3 innings allowing 1 hit, 1 run, 5 strike-outs and no walks, Ashley Ivey pitched 2 innings allowing 3 hits, no runs, 1 walk and 1 strike-out.

In Game two of the afternoon, the JV Jackets earned win number two beating Southern Nash 13-7.

At the plate for the jackets, Abbey Acree went 2 for 3, Lauren Oliver went 2 for 4 with 4 RBI's.

On the mound for the JV Jackets: Lauren Oliver pitched 3 innings allowing 3 hits, 5 runs, 6 strike-outs and no walks. Ashley Ivey pitched 2 innings allowing 3 hits, 3 runs, 1 strike-out and now walks.

The Roanoke Rapids JV Jackets have a 2-0 overall record and travel to Rocky Mount Thursday March 19th.
