The Roanoke Rapids lady softball team traveled to Rocky Mount Thursday

The Lady Jackets switched their game in front of the JV team to beat the rain. The JV lady Jackets lost to the rain and their game was rained out.

The Varsity girls beat Rocky Mount 23-4 in 5 innings.

Jordan Carpenter pitched for the win for the Jackets, pitching all five innings. Carpenter allowed 7 hits, 4 runs, 2 walks and had 4 srike-outs.

At the plate for the Yellow Jackets: Brianna Allen went 3 for 4 with a single, double and a triple. Sierra Hearp went 3 for 4 with 2 singles and a triple. Hunter Martin went 5 for 6 with 4 singles and a double, Camden Bierbauer went 3 for 3 with 3 singles. Brooke McClenney went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. Breanna Allen went 4 for 4 with 4 singles.

The Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets are now 3-1 overall and 2-1 in conference.
