The first step to raise funds for a permanent 35 ft. flagpole in honor of the late coach Mike Newsome turned out to be a great success Saturday afternoon

With the help of many volunteers and sponsors the "Team Mike" cornhole tournament went pretty well Saturday morning at TJ Davis Recreation Center.

A big thank you goes out to Ricky Dorer of Roanoke Valley Cornhole for use of his cornhole boards and handling of the gameplay of the tournament. The Roanoke Rapids Parks and Recreation for the use of the gym.
