Members of the 2014 Roanoke Rapids High Yellow Jackets football team did some community spring cleaning this weekend

Head coach Eric McDaniels along with the Jacket football players spent several hours Saturday morning cleaning the appearance of the Military Honor fence that is located on East 10th street near the High school.

Players cleaned by picking up trash, limbs and raking & bagging leaves and bagged them up.

"Mother Nature fooled us as it snowed the whole time," said coach Eric McDaniels.  "This was the teams way to give back to the community that supported them during their football season," McDaniels added.

Coach McDaniels said, "A big part of our "14 season was "Just Do the Rite Thing" and this group have responded well on and off the field.
