Chaloner Middle school softball team finally got their season started Wednesday at home

With all the rain and the bad field conditions, their season has been on hold, but that all changed Wednesday at Ledgerwood park as the Chaloner Yellow Jackets battled Northeast Academy Eagles in a double header.

Chaloner earned both wins by shutout to start the 2015 season.

In game one, Cassidy Dickens pitched 3 innings striking out 9 batters.

In game two, Abbi Carpenter pitched 3 innings with 7 strike-outs, Lizzy Colston finished the game with 3 strike-outs.

At the plate, leading hitters for Chaloner in both games were: Lizzy Colston, Abbi Carpenter, Ella King, Kaylyn Long, Kelsey Bierbauer, Cassidy Dickens, Haley Martin, Bethany Lassiter, Michelle Stewart, Hannah Taylor and Kamryn Little.

Chaloner will be back in action Thursday at home against Enfield at 4 PM at Ledgerwood Park.
