RRHS picks up an 11-0 conference win over Southern Vance in Varsity Baseball action.

Nick Horvath and Colby Warren combined to throw a no-hitter.  Horvath pitched 3 perfect innings for the win .  Warren pitched 2 scoreless innings giving up 2 walks.

The Yellow Jackets pounded out 11 hits on the night. Marcus Allen (2 RBI), Bracy Irby, Hunter Whitmire (3 RBI), and Jarret Williamson all had 2 hits each.

Head coach Mark Snead staid, "This was a good win for us. We had great pitching from Nick and Colby, our defense played well behind them, and we hit the ball well with runners on base. When you put together all 3 phases of the game like that then you get good results like we had tonight. I am really proud of how our whole team played."

With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 5-4 overall and 4-1 in the Northern Carolina Conference. RRHS returns to the diamond Friday night with a home contest against Warren County. The JV game starts at 4pm with the Varsity game to follow.
