Halifax Academy Vikings baseball beat Crossroads Christian School 10 -0 in 6 innings Tuesday.

Head coach Rabbit Long pitched 5 different pitchers in 6 innings; Luke Blackman got the start and win pitching 1st 2 innings, striking out 5 of 6 batters and allowed no hits. Ryan Mizelle, Reid Lynch, Collin Smith, & Brandon Moody all pitched 1 inning each facing 19 total batters, striking out 6 and only allowed 2 hits in 4th inning with Reid Lynch pitching.

Ryan Mizelle led Viking batters with 2 singles; Luke Blackman, Ryan Hockaday, & Bradley Myrick each had a single. Matthew Wray had a sacrifice fly to deep center in 2nd inning to score Brandon Moody who got hit by pitch. Vikings scored 2 more runs in the top of the 4th with perfect back to back sacrifice bunts by Collin Smith & Landon Poole. Brandon Moody added another run when he laid down another sacrifice bunt. Crossroads helped Viking batters out by walking 3 and hitting a total of 6 batters in 6 innings.

Vikings varsity baseball travel to Oakwood in Greenville Wednesday afternoon for a conference game.
