The RRHS Varsity Baseball team closed out the regular season with an 11-2 win over Southern Vance on Thursday night.

Josh Elias pitched the complete game win for the Yellow Jackets.  He gave up only 2 hits while striking out 7 batters.

At the plate, Josh Elias, Marcus Allen, and Jarret Williamson all had 2 hits each.  Tommy Bradley, Nick Horvath, Bracy Irby, Hunter Connell, and Tyler Liverman all had 1 hit each.

Coach Mark Snead stated, "This was a real team effort for the win.  Josh pitched a great game.  He constantly threw strikes and kept them guessing.  Our defense played well behind him.  We also hit the ball well tonight.  We came up with some big 2 out hits to bring guys around to score.  Our guys are really getting behind each other right now and playing team baseball."

RRHS finishes the regular season with an 11-7 overall record and 10-4 record in the Northern Carolina Conference.

The Yellow Jackets will next play in the NCHSAA 2A Baseball Playoffs next week.  The playoff brackets will be finalized and released on Saturday
