The Roanoke Rapids Lady Yellow Jackets softball team closed the 2015 regular season on a high note with a win Friday.

The Lady Jackets closed the regular season on the road at Southern Vance in Henderson Friday and came away with a 10-3 win. The win improved the Jackets to a 14-5 overall record and a 11-3 2A Northern Carolina Conference 3rd place finish. The Jackets sit and wait for the NCHSAA 2A state play-off brackets to be released Saturday May 9th.

The Jackets earned 12 hits in Friday's match-up, two that were over the fence home-runs by Hunter Martin & Senior Brianna Allen. Martin added 2 singles. Sierra Hearp  had 2 singles, Breanna Allen had a single & a double, Jordan Carpenter had a double while Brooke Vincent, Hope Vincent  & Megan Colston each had a single.

Sierra Heap pitched all 7 innings from the mound allowing 7 hits with 3 runs, 4 walks & 7 strike-outs.
