Halifax Academy was not it Tuesday's storm path, but the Softball team beat the rain and Terra Ceia to advance to the NCISAA 1A State championship Final Four.

The #4 seed Halifax Academy beat #5 seed Terra Ceia 2-1 in top of the 7th inning.

Sydney Smith pitched a perfect game thru 5 innings with 11 strike-outs. Candice Smith came in and closed the game for the last two innings with 4 strike-outs.

At the plate for Halifax, Emily Adkins had a single & a double, Candice Smith had a double and Margaret Hudson & Lauren Wheeler each had a single in the win.

The Halifax Lady Vikings will travel to Campbell University for a 10 AM game against the winner of 1st round #1 Cape Fear Christian Academy/ Pungo Christian Academy game.

This NCISAA 1A State Championship match-up will be a double elimination tournament.

Two other area teams are still also to make the Final Four. #6 seed Hobgood Academy will play #3 seed Lawrence Academy Wednesday and #7 seed Northeast Academy will play #2 Oakwood School as well Wednesday.
