The Roanoke Valley Girls Softball League Under 12 All-stars are undefeated District 7 Little Tarheel League Champions.

The Roanorke Valley team beat Currituck 8-2 in the District Championship Monday night in Tarboro.

At the plate for the Roanoke Valley team were Cassidy Dickens, Lizzie Colston, Cassidy Medlin each with a single. Lily Curtis with a single and doubled. Kelsey Bierbauer with two singles & two rbi's. Taylor kelly, Kaitlyn Bobbitt, Meagan Beam sacrifice hit with rbi each.

Lily Chappell made double play in 4th inning.

Lily Curtis pitched the complete game with 6 strike-outs and 3 walks. Last out of game was a strike out.

The Roanoke Valley team now will head to Smithfield later this month to represent  Roanoke Rapids in the Little Tarheel State tournament.
