The Roanoke Rapids lady Jackets volleyball team opened the 2A Northern Carolina conference play on the road at DSA.

Roanoke Rapids traveled to Durham School of the Arts Tuesday. Roanoke Rapids won the match in three straight sets, 25-23, 25-20 & 25-19.

Head coach Jodi Williams stated, "Both JV and Varsity teams played really well & really played like a team and came together to win."

Roanoke Rapids  JV won their match as well in two sets, 25-20 & 25-16.

Roanoke Rapids Varsity now has a 2-1 overall and 1-0 conference record and their next match is Thursday Sept. 3 at home against Warren County.
