The Roanoke Rapids High School Cross Country teams hosted a Northern Carolina Conference meet on Wednesday afternoon at the Roanoke Rapids Lake Park.

With 7 of the 8 conference teams represented, there was a strong group of runners present at the meet. 

The Lady Yellow Jackets had a great day and finished 1st in team points.  The Men's team also had another good day and finished 4th in team points.

Head coach Mark Snead stated, "This was another good meet for us. Our teams ran really well today under some very hot conditions.  I am extremely happy at how both teams finished points wise.  These results are showing the runners that their hard work is paying off.  That is what is most pleasing to me as a coach." 

The next Cross Country meet for the Yellow Jackets will be on September 22 at South Granville.
