The Carolina Rippers, a travel U12 fast pitch softball team with several Roanoke Valley player and is coached by Bill Ewers, battled out of the losers bracket to win the 2015 NC USSSA Summer's End 12U Tournament in Wendell.
Team is now based out of Spring Hope and has the following Roanoke Rapids players on the team, Grace Mason, Briana Parrott, Joanna Duhadaway & assistant coach Chris Parrott.
After a disappointing loss on Saturday night to the Diamond Divas (8-1), the Rippers came out swinging on Sunday and outscored their opponents 28 - 5 to finish the day in victory.
