Roanoke Valley students named Wendy’s High School Heisman school level winners Monday. The following Senior students were of the 250 North Carolina winners named.

Wendy’s High School Heisman is an award that is awarded to high-achieving seniors men and women who participate in a wide range of sports as well as school and community activities. In most schools who particapate, One senior male and one senior female will be selected as a School Winner..

From the School Winners, 20 finalists—10 senior males and 10 senior females—from every state and the District of Columbia will advance to State Finalists.

From the State Finalists, one senior male and one senior female from each state and the District of Columbia will be selected as State Winners.

The judging panel will select 10 National Finalists from the 102 State Winners. The National Finalists include five senior males and five senior females from each of the five geographic Heisman regions. National Finalists receive an invitation to the Wendy’s High School Heisman Weekend, including the National Awards Banquet in New York City, a gold medal, and a Wendy's High School Heisman National Finalist Heisman patch. The eight National Finalists who do not go on to become a National Winner will receive a $100 Wendy’s gift card and a $2,000 school donation will be awarded in the students' name.

The judging panel will select one senior male and one senior female from the 10 National Finalists as the Wendy’s High School Heisman National Winners. National Award Winners receive national honor and recognition during ESPN’s national telecast of the college Heisman Memorial Trophy presentation, a Wendy’s High School Heisman Trophy, a Wendy's High School Heisman National Winner patch and a $500 Wendy’s gift card. In addition, a $5,000 award will be donated to the winners’ high schools in the students’ names.
