Saturday's afternoon JV boys basketball games wrapped up the boys Roanoke Rapids JV 2015-16 basketball season, but as 2A NCC conference CHAMPIONS.

The JV Jackets hosted Warren County Eagles at the "HIVE". but it was all Jackets. Roanoke Rapids earned the win by beating the Eagles 55-20.

Roanoke Rapids leading scorers were: KJ Faulcon with 19 points, Jack Neville with 9 points, Quincy Vann with 8 points, Deraj Watson with 8 points, Peyton Clayton with 4 points, Jaquan Rawls with 2 points, Thomas Merritt with 2 points and Damoni Mitchell with 2 points.

The boys JV Yellow Jackets finished the season 17-1, with their only loss of the season came January 29th to South Granville 66-65. To head coach Jimmy Monroe's defense, that night he had suddenly lost three of his players who were moved up to the Varsity team. The Jackets perfect 18-0 season was only two points from happening. the players and coach have no reason not to celebrate, they are still 2015-16 boys JV basketball 2A Northern Carolina Conference Champs.
