Roanoke Rapids Varsity girls and boys basketball teams played Tuesday night in the 1st round of the 2A Northern Carolina conference tournament.

First round girls 2A Northern Carolina at Roanoke Rapids

6:00PM  #3 seed Warren County beat #6 seed Franklinton 60-29.  

7:30PM  #2 seed Roanoke Rapids beat #7 seed Southern Vance 68-51.

Roanoke Rapids leading scorers were:  Anna Vann with 16 points,  Michelle Stewart with 12 points, Taylor Medlin with 11 points, Alizae Neville with 11 points, Camden Bierbauer with 2 points, Abbi Carpenter with 6 points, Jordan Carpenter with 2 points, Haley Farrow with 5 points, Brooke McClenny with 3 points.

#7 seed Roanoke Rapids boys lost to #2 seed Southern Vance 83-58.
