The #4 seed Weldon boys basketball (19-3) hosted the #13 seed Louisburg (16-10) who Weldon had beaten three times this season.

Weldon continued the win streak by beating Louisburg once again, this time 53-45 and advancing to the sweet sixteen.

Weldon leading scorers were: Koraan Clements with 21 points, Micah Arrington with 14 points, Jamall McGee with 8 points, Kevin Arrington with 4 points, Mel'Quan Ames with 4 points and Mo'Travion Dunston with 2 points.

Weldon (20-3) advances to the 3rd round of the 1A NCHSAA Championship play-offs Saturday February 27th and will host #5 Voyager Academy (28-4).
