Chaloner Middle school (CMS) baseball team off to a rough start with three non-conference losses this season. The three game information is posted below.

CMS traveled to Williamston on March 7th and lost a hard 5-4 decision to Riverside Middle School.

CMS Leading Hitters: Colin Long 2 hits, Cody Beals 2 hits, Trevor Harrison 1hit (double), Hunt Van Dam 1 hit

 

On March 10th CMS got off to a good start against Faith Christian with four hits in the 1st inning that produced 3 runs. Colin long led off with a double which was followed by singles from  by Landon Wollet, Ethan Vincent, and Trevor Harrison. The older and more experienced Faith Christian team kept hitting  the ball the rest of the game while CMS bats fell silent for the rest of the game. CMS went hitless the rest of the game.  CMS also walked 8 batters, hit 3 batters, and made 4 errors.

On March 15th Chaloner battled Faith Christian again. CMS continued to struggle at the plate when they traveled to Rocky Mount to play a very strong Faith Christian team. Faith had 13 hits while CMS only managed 3.

Trevor Harrison, A.J. Strickland, and Ethan Vincent each had a single for CMS. A.J. Strickland and Bennett Liverman (both 7th grade) did a good job on the mound, but Faith came out and swung the bat very well.

  

Chaloner’s (0-3) next game will be at Home against Halifax Academy on Wednesday March 16.
