Chaloner defeated Ridgecroft Academy 10-0 behind the pitching of Colin Long and Bennett Liverman. Long gave up 3 hits and 4 walks, while striking out 4 in 4 innings to pick up the win. Liverman gave up no hits to finish the game for the Jackets.
Colin Long had 2 hits including a triple and 2 RBI’s. Hunt Van Dam had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. Grayson Hargrove had 2 hits including a double and a RBI. Bennett Liverman had a two run single, and Ethan Vincent had a double. Hunter Christenbury added a single.
Tuesday April 22nd

Faith Christian edged CMS in a close 7-5 game that went down to the very end as CMS left base runners on 3rd and 2nd in the bottom of the 7th inning.
The leading hitter for CMS was Jacob Deberry who had 2 singles, 3 RBI’s, and a walk in 3 attempts. Colin Long had a single and 2 RBI’s. Cody Beals had a double. Grayson Hargrave and Ricky Lee each had singles.
Ethan Vincent and AJ Strickland pitched well for the Jackets, but 5 errors led to 3 unearned runs.
Wednesday April 23rd

Chaloner came alive in the 3rd inning to put Weldon away by scoring 12 runs that inning. Colin Long, Trevor Harrison, and Braxton Roberson each had inside the park homeruns. Long ended up with 4 hits and 5 RBI’s. Bennett Liverman had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s. Braxton Roberson had two hits and 2 RBI’s. Ethan Vincent had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. Hunter Christenbury, Andre Steward, and Logan Johnson each added hits for the Jackets.
Trevor Harrison and Landon Wollet combined for a no hitter.
Chaloner’s next games will be in the Halifax Academy Easter Tournament. Chaloner will play Faith Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday April 1st.
