Today April 2nd was the birthday of the Roanoke Valley's late coach Mike Newsome and it appeared this morning he was in heaven overjoyed of the three women's softball teams coming together honor the game he loved.

Some would think all the rain that soaked the fields in Jackson were tears of joy from the late coach Newsome. When the rained stop the 2nd Annual Team Mike's adult slow pitch softball tournament was underway. Team Bad Pitches, Team Mike and Hudson Motorsports took to the field for three seeding games, then into double elimination.

Hudson Motorsports outlasted the rest by going undefeated winning five total games.
