Halifax Academy soccer team traveled to Greenville Wednesday for a conference match up with Oakwood school.

Halifax won 1-0 over Oakwood.

Halifax's goal came from Whitney George with Abby George assist. The defensive effort led by Kate Starnes, Anna Garrett, Brittany Milan, Hailey Eason and Jordan Strickland in goal was outstanding.

Post match comments from head coach Tim George, "The entire team supported each other and played with great heart to preserve the win. It was a total team effort and these girls are showing us that they have what it takes to win the tough games. Now we have to come out tomorrow ready to take on Crossroads Christian at their place."
