The 2016 2A NCHSAA Men’s State Golf Championship two rounds at the Foxfire Resort and Golf Club Grey Fox Course in Foxfire Village, NC are done and the Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets men's team finished fourth in the 2A State.

Five Roanoke Rapids golf Yellow Jackets teed off Monday and Tuesday to compete in the 2A State Championship filled with a total of 84 golfers.

Roanoke Rapids' golf team finished fourth with 661, Wilkes Central finished first with 620 strokes followed by Clinton with  641 strokes and South Stokes with 650 strokes.

Listed below are the Yellow Jackets golfers and their Championship standings after both rounds and what they shot with how much shot over the 72 course par.

Tied for 13th Jackson Gowen who shot a 78  and a 78 with +12 over par

Tied for 20th Spenser Hargrove who shot a 84 and a 78 with +18 over par

Tied for 34rd Clifton Hunter who shot a 81 and a 87 with +24 over par

Tied for 62nd Chase Johnson who shot a 95 and a 90 with +41 over par

71st Thomas Merritt who shot a 85 and a 107 with +48 over par
