The Roanoke Rapids based Warriors travel youth basketball team traveled to Greenville NC to participate in the "Team 252 Above the Rim" challenge Saturday.

They would finish the day with a record of 1-2.

Head coach Troy McNair stated, "This by far was the toughest tournament that we have competed in this year but it gave us an opportunity for a reality check to show us how much more work we need to put it. We didn't come with the same defensive intensity and hustle that we have shown in our last two tournaments and that is why we came up short. This should be a building block for the team as a whole to learn and grow from."

The 14u Warriors are now 10-4 on the season and will travel to Virginia Beach next weekend for tournament play.

Scoring for the day:

Poboigh King with 31 points
