The Halifax Academy lady Vikings are hosting the first round in the 1A NCISAA State Championship Softball play-offs Tuesday May 17th.

The #4 seed Halifax (10-4) will host #5 seed Pungo Christian at Halifax Academy with a 5PM first pitch time.

Also the Roanoke Valley's Northeast Academy and Hobgood Academy are in State Championship play-off action.

The #8 seed Northeast Academy (6-14) will travel to #1 seed Cape Fear Christian (6-7-1).

The #6 Hobgood Academy (11-4) will travel to #3 seed The Oakwood School (8-4).

All the winners move into a double elimination Championship run that will be hosted at Oakwood School this Friday and Saturday.
