The Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association's Under 11 and Under 12 All-Star teams opened their weekend Eastern NC Area Cal-Ripken Tournament's with wins Friday night in their double elimination tournament.

The Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association's Under 11 All-Star team beat the Winterville team 10-9 in Winterville. The U11 team advance to play New Bern today (Saturday) at Noon in Winterville. Roanoke Rapids 11u all stars walk off in the bottom of the 6th after being down 8-3 going into the bottom of the 5th. RR scored 6 in the 5th to take a 9-8 lead. Winterville came back in the 6th to tie it up,only to be outdone by RR in the bottom of the 6th!   No other info reported to RRspin Sports at this time.
