The Roanoke Valley Girls Softball League All-star teams are in Camden this weekend for the 2016 Little Tarheel District 7 all-star tournament.

The Roanoke Valley U14 all-stars started the three team district 7 tournament on a good note, a first round bye Friday. On Saturday they beat Cashie 13-6 and are headed to the Championship Sunday afternoon at 3:30PM against the winner of the earlier Sunday game of Cashie vs Tarboro.

Cassidy Dickens earned the win on the mound for the Roanoke Valley girls.

Leading hitters at the plat for Roanoke Valley U14 all-stars were: Cassidy Dickens went 3 for 4 with one RBI, Elizabeth Colson went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI, Kelsey Bierbauer went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's, Mackenzie Richardson went 1 for 3, Kalyn Long went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI, Courtney Rogerson went 1 for 3, Brianna Parrott went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI' s, and Kayla Gaernter went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI.
