Halifax County, the City of Roanoke Rapids and the Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association laid out the welcome mat to all thirteen Under 9 Cal-Ripken teams and families Tuesday night.

The RRYBA hosted the icebreaker meal and get together for all the players and families and closed with a showing of the movie "Sandlot".

Opening ceremonies are set for Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM on King field at Ledgerwood Park.
