Former Roanoke Rapids football Yellow Jackets are coming home to help current Roanoke Rapids resident and RRHS sophomore Yellow Jacket Derrin Mallory Wednesday night on the Roanoke Rapids football practice field. #We Believe - Prayers for Derrin
Mallory the son of Chaloner Middle School Assistant Principal Angela Edwards Mallory was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is under going treatment.
Jacket teammate Jack Neville is hosting the event to support Derrin called "Pass for a Purpose" Wednesday July 27th starting at 5:30 PM.
For every dollar you raise, you complete that number of passes to current & Alumni RRHS players along with at least one special guest will be on hand to pass and catch with you.
There are Cordless drill, weed eaters up to raffle off, A signed ECU football to be auctioned off with bake goods to be sold and music played. All Proceeds benefit Derrin Mallory

One of RR's finest athletes, Current UNC Defensive player Nazair Jones, will be at Pass for a Purpose Wednesday in support of Derrin Mallory. Come pass the football with Naz and get a photo with one of UNC's best!

Former RRHS standout, and current ECU player, Jonathan Caleb Pratt will be in attendance at "Pass for a Purpose" Wednesday and will be bringing an football autographed by the ECU football players to be auctioned off!

RRHS leader and award winning varsity Center and Defensive tackle and current scholar athlete and member of the UNC Pembroke wrestling team, George Arrington, will be attending Wednesday. George has been a vital part in spear heading the Pass for a Purpose fundraiser in support of Derrin

RRHS 3 sport athlete and UNCW baseball player, Clay Lockamon, will be in town for Pass for a Purpose Wednesday to show his support for Derrin Mallory.

Allen Jackson, Defensive End from Duke, will be at the event to help out.
