The RVYSA U18 girls classic travel soccer team kicked off their fall season with 2 games this weekend at home battling extreme heat.

The girls won Saturday 9-3 against Greater Cleveland and lost a tough battle 2-1 Sunday against Clinton United.

The team consists of 13 girls, a mix of 4 different high schools in grades 9th through 12th. Several of the girls have played travel soccer previously for various teams out of town and others have taken a few years off from club soccer.

They have decided that getting this team back together would be fun while playing some quality competition from around the eastern part of the state. Coach Tim George stated," that while the heat played a factor playing back to back days, this weekend shows that we have some quality talent on display from the local high schools. This is going to be a great fall season, and it will help prepare the players for the spring high school season."

The next home game will be Saturday September 10th at 11am at Chockoyotte Field.
