Halifax County, the City of Roanoke Rapids and the Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association laid out the welcome mat to all thirteen Under 9 Cal-Ripken teams and families Tuesday night.
The Roanoke Valley U12 girls softball all-stars slaughter Camden 14-1for the 2016 Little Tarheel District 7 Championship title Tuesday night in Camden. The girls are headed to the State tournament July 21 in Wilkes County.
The Roanoke Valley Girls Softball League U14 All-star team lost 16 to 10 to Cashie Monday night in the 2016 Little Tarheel League District 7 tournament in Camden, but still earned an invite to the State tournament in two weeks in the Western part of NC.
